Vtiger is a CRM that allows you to create an employee’s account and manage your team effectively. While creating an employee within Vtiger, you need to fill in the following important fields:

  • Last name
  • Primary email
  • Title
  • Department
  • Business hours
  • User
  • Portal employee

 

Giving access to employees

Employee portal is a smart tool within Vtiger CRM for employees to submit their issues and problems efficiently. It enables employees to raise an internal ticket or submit their request directly to the desired department without the need to send emails. It speeds up employee management tasks which in return increases sales and workflow. 

 

Step toEmployee portal and its configuration

To let your employee raise tickets you need to give access to the employee portal to each employee. To give access follow the following steps:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Go to the Main Menu.
  3. Click on Service Desk.
  4. Select Employees.
  5. Open an employee record.
  6. Click on the Details tab on the right sidebar.
  7. Find and enable the Portal Employee checkbox.
  8. Click Save.

After you provide access to the employees they will receive Portal credentials on the provided email account, by clicking on the URL mentioned in the email they can directly go to Vtiger’s Employee portal Login by entering your email and password and use the employee portal.

The employee portal helps businesses enhance their workflow by automating team management tasks. Team members can easily communicate with each other, send reviews, add complaints, submit their issues, and much more.

Vtiger allows you to perform multiple actions on your employee portal. You can change the password or add your profile details or create an internal ticket by just following some basic steps.

Changing fields in employee portal

An internal ticket is a query, issue, or problem created by an employee if they encounter any problem. The ticket is sent to the department responsible for the issue in a few seconds. In this way the issue is resolved quickly, improving team management. You can also edit, delete, add a comment, or view updates on your ticket within the employee portal. The tickets in the employee portal have three views, Create, Edit, and List view. You can change the fields of each view in the employee portal by following some steps:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Go to the User Menu on the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Click on the Module Management. Click on Module Layouts & Fields.
  5. In the Select Module, drop-down Choose Internal Tickets.
  6. Click the Detail View Layout tab.
  7. Select a field.

        Enable Quick Create or mark it as Mandatory to show it in the Create and Edit views.

        Enable the Header or mark it as a Key Field, or show it in the List View.
